Relapsed last night

I was sober for a month and yesterday I drank till I blacked out. I can't remember what happened, I woke up in my bathtub covered in vomit and bruises all over my body. I probably embarrassed myself in public and threw up all over myself in front of everyone. I don't have anyone to ask what had happened because I was alone. I have no idea how I got home. I just feel awful today.

Hi Talker. I hope you are feeling better today. I am so sorry to hear that you relapsed and had a rough night. I'm sure that wasn't easy for you. I would like to give you some resources that may be helpful!

https://www.aa.org/ Here is the website for Alcoholics Anonymous

https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/atod This is a link for more information regarding alcohol use. There is also some other links for resources!

I hope this helps. I believe in you!! ❤️

Try to go to an AA meeting and listen to everyone's stories you don't have to talk just sit and listen. Take it one day at a time I know it's hard but you can do it. I've been sober since my relapse. I don't know what will happen a week or a month or a year from now, all I know is that I'm not drinking alcohol today. Good luck friend, be kind to yourself

I don’t plan to fully stop just slow down. I did just wanna atleast come here. And that’s amazing just that you aren’t today!! Good job and don’t beat yourself up for having a lapse in your addiction.
