What is a good drink that gives you the taste of an alcoholic drink, but with zero alcohol, such as a Shirley Temple (7-Up, grenadine, and lemon juice)? These might help people detox from alcohol while recovering <3

@jesusredeemedme2425 I love this question because it shows how much the ritual matters, not just the alcohol.

For a lot of people, having something that feels like a drink helps way more than plain water. Things like ginger beer with lime, tonic with citrus, or sparkling water with cranberry or grapefruit can hit that familiar taste. Even iced herbal teas with a little spice can feel comforting and intentional.

Some people find these swaps really helpful early on, others grow out of needing them. Both are okay. Recovery doesn’t have to be all or nothing, it’s about finding small things that make the transition feel kinder.
