Asking for help

AI reckons I drink a crazy amount of units of alchohol a week, I'm talking up to 100. I am only 18 but I think I have an addiction as every night the cravings are really strong and I always cave into them.

I don't know what to do!

Welcome 🤗

You've already done the first thing.

And opened up.

Admitted you need help.

If you cannot go one night without wanting or needing a drink, and you've become dependent, it's important to ask for help, and to begin working through the root cause of why you feel you need so much.

In a quiet and non judgemental space 🤗💚

Unfortunately, I was the same. I had to be placed in jail and on an alcohol monitor through probation to learn to sit and think. The withdrawal process that I went through is something that I would never wish upon anyone. I was placed in a sobriety treatment center for 28 days and it truly helped me look at a much larger picture. I don't know your story or where you live, but if you have alcohol treatment programs that are near you I would suggest them because they are beyond helpful. You can do this! Stay positive and keep looking for help! You are not alone. There are so many people like us that I never even began to realize and the world is much brighter with you in it. I am a message away if you'd like to talk to vent. My name is Natasha and I was sober for 7 months before this last relapse and I'm now 40 days with only a day at a time.Â
