Help?
Hey hope everyone’s okay just wondering if anyone has any real life experience with overcoming alcohol i know I have a problem
The thought alone of buying beer or whiskey and drinking alone excites me more than anything tbh even though when I do it always ends in tears and pain although I am happy to endure that pain to experience the little moment of peacefulness and happiness
I just want to be able to go back to normal and not need to drink to talk to people and not need to drink to be an actually interesting person or just a person in general Im exactly like my dad with drinking and I *** hate it
@nobodysfavourite
@nobodysfavouritei relate to this so much I hope we both get out of this cycle
@goodWatermelon4121 nice to hear im not completely alone in this although i feel just as bad for u as i do myself but thank you for your comment we just need to stay strong and grow we can change
@goodWatermelon4121 if u ever wanna talk about it i wouldnt mind
@nobodysfavourite thank you I do wanna talk about it please I really appreciate your positive energy and desire to grow last night I drank way to much and made a total *** of myself talking so selfishly and egotistical and ignorant and arrogant I hated the way I felt when I realized how wrong I was and even more now how wrong I am I was a total tool I hated it :(
Thanks for wanting to chat and I understand what you mean Im going to guess u made some calls or texts that u regret badly and said some stuff if there’s one thing I’ve learned though is as much as it’s me saying it it is not my true intention yea yhat dosent make it acceptable at all but it’s important to know alchaholc is the main aggressor of it and not yourself and your soul
@nobodysfavourite thank you my friend that feels good to hear that it’s not me and my soul and I feel like I resonate with that but part of me thinks I might be bad on the inside sometimes… I’m here too if you ever want to talk :)

This battle is not to be fought all by yourself - Simple steps would be
1) Talk to a therapist or join Alchohol Anonymous or a support group where you can discuss these struggles with what will help them
2) Avoid and Replace - Avoid Social settings where you need to drink and replace them with other social settings where that option isnt available.
3) Starts with excitement ends with tears - Sounds like self harm to me. Thats a pattern, Track it, Track it before and after - What makes you succumb and what drives you to it and how you beat yourself . Track it from a distance , in a neutral way.
4) Alchohol is the surface level issue. Buried deep down could be inadequacy , low self esteem and lack of purpose. Swim deeper into your issue. Why do you need to talk etc ? Question every assumption you make about how things should be.
@nobodysfavourite I used to drink at on epoint beers, lagers and other alcohol everyday, moderately though but everyday. I did it to gain weight but it has given me liver problems and digestive problems. I cut the habit with a replacement, zero sugar cokes and sodas. Its still bad but alot better than drinking alcohol.
