Insanity

I gave up alcohol and street drugs a few years ago. I regularly go to recovery meetings, have a sponsor, do stepwork. Alcohol and drugs don't cause any trouble for me anymore. I have a serious quality-,of-life health condition that I take strong medications for. I have a serious problem with taking much more of my medication than I need to. I need the medication at home with me, I can't stay stable on any lower dosages or less powerful, and I am home alone all day. I keep overdosing and ending up on a ventilator, it's going on 6-7x of acute respiratory failure and hospital stays. When I first get out of the hospital I am very careful about dosages and instructions but then I gradually take slightly higher and higher amounts until yet another OD. Any advice?

I know that prescriptions are still drugs.

I'm really sorry that you are going through all of that. Just know that whatever it is, you are not alone. Reading through your post, I understand that no one

My apologies. I was saying that I understand that no one is physically with you at the moment. You need people around you at this time. Friends, family, just anyone who can offer some support. You can also sign up with a 7 cups therapist. I believe that will help too. Hope you fully recover soon. Best regards 🤗
