My mind can be my own worst enemy
I wanna start by saying that this isn’t my first rodeo when it comes to sobriety. The first time I was sober for 7 years, the second time 2 years. I have been in active addiction for the past four years.
I am 38 years old and have seen my fair share of hardships. Then again haven’t we all? I won’t bore you with a long “ poor poor pitiful me” story. I hold myself accountable for where my life has ended up. Self sabotage at its finest.
But what do you do when you mind tells you you have had enough and it’s time to get back to living life with putting your best foot forward, and yet your mind keeps reaching for that drug of choice? Just one more day, how many days until it’s my last?
Sorry for the long rant. I guess I’m hustling sick and tired of being sick and tired.
One day at a time I suppose.
Today I am 1 day sober..

Hey, every journey starts with a first step, no matter if we have to start over in the same place. And as some of my AA-related friends say: even if you went "Back to Black" for a while, your brain is still working on getting back the gift of sobriety.
Do you have someone to love and some work to be done? I keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞
Hi dear 👋 just wanted to check on you
