Addictive personality

Hi. I've had an addictive personality since I was a teenager. I've always just pushed my limits. I've done pretty much every drug you can think of. And some you can't. I've somehow managed to dabble for years and stay moderately healthy. But I'm 38 now and I know if I keep pushing it, I'll fall apart. I'm currently only microdosing mushrooms and taking kratom. Once in awhile I'll take the cotton out of a benzedrex inhaler and extract the stimulant. Sobriety is just a foreign concept to me. I've been altered for so long. I wish I could live life clean. But I don't really know how to.

It depends. You have to understand that it is all about drugs. Nobody is ever sober. Nearly everyone is highly addicted to Dopamine. No drug on itself is habit-forming, it first has to connote to your bodily dopamine-production. Human fear's origin is the unknown. You're saying sobriety is foreign to you. Does it make you more scared to become sober? When I was addicted to nicotine I feared how boring it is to not smoke/vape. And it was so fucking extremely fucking boring. I still vape, but without nicotine. You gotta have some Zen but you're free to make it as easy as possible to yourself. What would your ideal life look like? What "sober" things would trigger your dopamine-release? You could replace it and make some changes to your life, all the while you continuously use weaker and more harmless drugs, and less of it.

Hey Jordan I’m feeling exactly the same I’ve been on everything Barr crack and heroin since age 18 and now I’m withdrawing from benzos as had a seizure last week due to lack of them I’m 35 and I’m not even sure what “normal” living is it’s such a confusing time I’m here if you need an ear 👂🏻 as I don’t know if I’m strong enough to go through life without the help of something to alter reality....is reality so bad?? I’m not sure but please take care and be kind to yourself x
