Boyfriend won’t stop using
Hello everyone I’m new here but I am needing help Leaving my bf who is an addict. He is also my 5year olds dad. He has struggle with it for the last 3 years that I know of. It started out with herion , then bars & Now Oxys. I think he is snorting herion again but he lies so well I can’t tell what he’s on. It’s breaking me down as a person and it’s tiring. The amount of arguments and times he’s been kicked out is insane. I don’t know how to let him go because he always makes me feel so bad for him and brings up how he does everything for me and has no family. I just want the stress to end already!!!
Hi. I hope you are doing well. You are a very strong person. Though the journey you are on currently isn't that easy, just the decision you made, to leave that relationship, is a big step. Don't ever forget that you can do it. And don't feel guilty for your boyfriend, there are ways to help him through his recovery as long as he is willing to accept help. And you thinking about him and his well-being, already means something.
Hi. I know exactly what you're going through and for the sake of you and your child, you must kick him out or if you have to, leave him. I know that's hard but he's not going to change because he's obviously not ready, and he will grind you into the dirt and strip away your personality and soul. Your child deserves more than this and so do you. You can't, and never will FIX HIM! All the mental crap I have to deal with now because of a similar situation to you. It was slowly digging my grave and my life was going nowhere. Please, before you have serious scars from this co-dependency do something. It's never going to get better until he is ready to get help. I'm really sorry you're in this situation and hope you find a way.
