Marijuana and I broke up.
I've been smoking on and off for almost 4+ years now and I've finally decided to quit. What with the bad responses to most-recently smoked weed I've had, I just couldn't handle trading a momentary high for panic attacks that could last days on and off. Though, the withdrawl is killing me and it seems almost hourly does a small heat in my chest remind me that it wants something that isn't just air. I don't miss weed, but I hate feeling anxious, nauseous, headachey, everything. I hope there's some solidarity here and y'all can provide some tactics to just.. Cool down. The nausea and anxiety feed into each other and being locked on the couch because of it doesn't helo anyone. :(
That sounds tough :( You sure can't quit a coping mechanism without replacing it. So maybe try to find something you enjoy, hobbies, and be kind to yourself. If you're on lockdown stuck alone, I find that cleaning up your room or main space you live in to be a good distraction. And if it gets overwhelming, don't hesitate to talk about it. For it to be on here or to someone else irl. It's going to be okay :)
