Need a quit partner.
Female 31, smoked weed for many years.
I enjoy it, its beneficial to my health. But i HAVE to stop.
Im looking for a buddy to share with daily to help me through it.
I have no really close friends, and im alone in my addicition. Please support me through this. If you are also quitting message me, if you've over come an addiciton message me. Please someone. Sorry to sound so desperate. I am. Haha.
Probably going to experience anxiety as you transition to a weed-free life. How to destress in other, healthier ways will be your challenge. The great news is that there are so many to choose! I am an introvert, and prefer nature to people. Nature destresses me. Exercise is good too, walking is free. There are essential oils, breathing, yoga, new hobbies, or revive one you enjoyed from younger years.
I use journaling often. It gets things out of my head, and onto a hard drive. It gets it out of me! Another handy fav is a hot shower, until ALL the hot water runs out.
I gave it up long ago, and recall that the most difficult for me was falling asleep at night. I smoked a wee bit to fall asleep for quite awhile. It sounds like you have different circumstances. White noise from a fan, meditation app, might be helpful.
There's a world of new choices to explore! I'm sure that Google has a million more ideas for you to try.
You can do this!

Thank you for lots of ideas to keep me going, i will definitely take some of those ideas on board, i enjoy nature also, long walks and exploring etc.
Well it has been a rocky few days, i managed day 1 and 2 but buckled on day 3, perserveered on day 4. Its been a roller coaster week and ive not slept well so been smoking at night.
Im trying bed time tea, no caffiene after 3pm, but still cant drift off. Its the hardest part the not sleeping.

Hi Blue! Welcome to 7 cups and I am so glad you're here looking for support. I too seem to make better choices when I have a partner to do through it together. Have you tried journaling? I know it's not a direct support but it might do some good while you're in search. Good luck and see you around!
