Need help quitting Alcohol and Cigarettes

Hi. I'm 33 years old, and I feel I have failed in life. I have a good paying job but am always in debt. I drink and smoke too much for 10 years now, when I am not working but it affects my life in all aspects. I have been in many relationships but none of them ended well due to those addictions. I don't have time to visit family members because when I am not working I am very hungover or drinking. Last year I tried to cut out bad friends and it worked but unfortunately I still find myself drinking and smoking a lot. I feel like I no longer want to go out unless working. I would like your support to help me in changing my life and learn new health habits. Thanks

@jr250

It can be really hard to quit more than one drug at a time. I'd suggest that maybe you should try and just focus on the addiction that's having the most immediate negative effects on your life (which I assume is probably the alcohol), and not worry about the other one. Then once you've been able to go for at least month without drinking, then you can start tackling the other substance.

Good luck!
