Skin Picking (Post Opiate Addiction)

Has anyone else developed a problem with skin picking during a period of opiate addiction that persisted after they stopped using opiates?

I always had a mild problem with scratching my head before I ever took opiates; but it got really bad when I was addicted to Tramadol, and I started scratching and picking my face as well. However even though I haven't been used any opiates in 3 weeks now, the skin picking is still really bad -- to the point that strangers and acquaintances comment on it, which makes me feel self-conscious.

Does anyone have any experience, or know if this is something that's likely to go away on it's own if I stay away from opiates now? And, if you experienced this, how did you deal with it when it happened to you?

@lovelyWhisper66 Thanks! I was doing better for a while, but I've relapsed again, just on a different substance this time.
