@noabash

Hey there, it' great that you want to get clean as this is the very first step, and quite a big one to start with. I suppose, if I was you, id try and remember my lowest moment whilst using, and use this feeling to drive my determination to a better life. I'd seek out help and resources on line, see what's available in my area, support groups, one to one mentors ECT, id also head to see my doctor, see if they can recommend further support.

You'e made a great decision for a much healthier life style, good luck to You, I wish you every succss.

@noabash Hello, so glad you're here and welcome to the community. Congrats on making the first step towards getting clean. You are doing such an amazing thing for yourself and it takes a lot of courage and strength to do so.

As for where to start, peer support groups such as AA/NA, SMART recover and others are often a good first step. I personally found peer support to be quite powerful during my early days in recovery. You can find a list of groups along with explanations here. We also have daily support discussions on here. A schedule can be found here.

If you're looking to stop using and detox from the drugs, I'd highly recommend seeking out the help of a medical detox and/or treatment centre.They can also help you get connected to community resources and support groups. An easy way to find one is to google detox centres in your area. If you'd like further help, feel free to PM me.

Good luck with everything and hope to see you around here again. Keep coming back. Our door is always open <3

Im dealing with a cocaine addiction and really need some help with an accountability partner. I don't have anyone to answer to when I do drugs, and it means I don't feel back about it, which keeps me from stopping. If anyone needs a partner to check in with, let me know. : )

@philosophicalCircle6848 Im right there with you. The last two days was a low point. 5grams and hating myself... again. I have stopped many times for many years but its my go to when life just gets to be too much. I hate how strong others perceive me to be and need someone that understands to talk to.

i can totally relate. I've admitted to myself that I'm addicted, but never ever to anyone else. Since it's been a secret, I've let it continue for too long so I think I'm having trouble stopping for reasons similar to yours. I feel like i have to deal with it alone because I just can't imagine ever telling anyone close to me. I feel too ashamed
