My name is Ari, I suffer from anxiety and depression. I have been working on myself outside of therapy... reading my bible, talking to God, but today really took a toll on my mental. (This is my second time writing this btw lol, first one deleted). I was attacked today by a manager at McDonald's, I was only trying to pick up my DoorDash order. I waited patiently for 30 minutes to be attacked for absolutely no reason.

This really has affected me, and put me in a place that I fought soooo hard to get out of. I had mixed emotions, such as fighting for my respect, but in the same token wanting to change and grow and remove myself from this toxic life style.

My anxiety is absolutely through the roof after facing this today, I hope this community will help relax and be more calm in open spaces. I've always been very timid and shaky, however, it has gotten so much better with age and I have grown so much. But this situation has completely set me back.

I don't even know where to began again.

Hi, Ari. "Where to begin again? The answer is hidden in the question itself:  Start again. Have you ever heard of the game of dominoes? (Though you work at McDonald's, I know that was a bad joke.) In the game, you repeat the same procedure over and over again for the sake of fun and amusement. Similarly, life is like that! Whenever a setback occurs, you are meant to fall back and practice resilience. I know it's hard, but you can do it!

@moodya2023 it sounds like it has really affected you. That's a horrible thing for someone to do to you.

It may feel like you have been set back. Unfortunately progress isn't linear. It's often 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I hope you are feeling better soon.
