The Self-Care Project

Hi Online Therapy Community!
Let’s talk about something that we often overlook: self-care. In a world that’s always demanding more from us, it’s easy to forget that taking care of ourselves is just as important as taking care of others.
💡 Remember: Self-care isn’t about luxury - it’s about our overall well-being. It’s the little things that recharge our minds and spirits. Whether it’s a 10-minute meditation, a walk in the park, or simply saying “no” when you’re overwhelmed, these small acts of kindness to yourself can make a significant difference in your life.
🌻Today’s Challenge: Take at least 15 minutes for yourself. Do something that brings you peace and joy. Share what you did in the comments and let’s inspire each other to make self-care a priority!
You deserve to feel good. You deserve to take time for yourself. And remember, you’re not alone on this journey. We’re all in this together, supporting each other every step of the way at 7 Cups.
Hi everyone!
Hope you’re all doing well. I just wanted to jump in and echo the importance of self-care that’s been shared here. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget that we need to recharge too. Remember, taking time for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential for your mental and emotional well-being.
Today, I took a moment to step outside, breathe in some fresh air, and just be present. It’s amazing how these small moments can help reset our minds and give us the energy to keep going. What are you doing today to take care of yourself? Let’s share and encourage each other to make self-care a regular part of our lives.
Looking forward to hearing about what you’re doing to prioritize yourself today. We’re all in this together!

I took a nap. I have not taken a nap in a very long time. It was a wonderful nap, and I woke up refreshed. 💗
@SerenityLight
Naps are the best :) I think they are one of my favourite forms of self-care too. So refreshing and restorative. Keep napping if you can!
@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS I'm so bad at this. Eversince the pandemic, I barely do hygene or anything for my appearance. I stopped doing any hobbies. Its just been really difficult to do anthing not related to a computer and earning money. I've just been trying to take the dog out for frequent quick walks so that I can stretch my legs and enjoy the day.

One step at a time. I have so many people, who like you, have told me that they've struggled since the pandemic so you're not alone at all. Remember to just focus on taking one step forward per day and gradually you'll see they add up. I am sorry to hear you're struggling and so glad you are here with us at 7 Cups!
Today I talk a walk down the beach for my own practice of self-care. It was amazing and so relaxing. The weather has been wonderful!
What is yours? :)
Today I was going to do some decluttering projects around the house, but my body is tired. So, I am taking it easy and having a peaceful day 💗
Sometimes we just need to relax and that is okay :)

I journaled my thoughts. I also wrote few things I was grateful for and some positive affirmations. I feel really good about myself.
Journaling and positive affirmations can make such an impact on our mental health and I’m so glad you took the time to do this. Would you like to share some of your affirmations with us? :)
