It’s OK - You’re adjusting to a sudden change. And in your village maybe not everyone is going to be as tall as you; and maybe some of the people around you might be envious of your height! But also as a bigger person you might have to be a little more conscious of your frame around others also; even in contact sports there’s still such a thing as a “foul” after all!
Having said that it’s your body - it’s the only one you will ever have, so love and accept it! Some taller people stoop because they feel awkward being taller than everyone else; sometimes society treats (tall people) as intimidating, or stare rudely as if being tall is something strange and unusual. The wrong people will always find something about you that they don’t like, something to criticize. But don’t let their petty nature ever make you feel small! Know who you are, on and off the court. When you are among your peers, your height will be an asset and your team mates will be thankful. You’ll never be shorter, so just take ownership of your height and stand tall and proud!
Congratulations on making the professional team! You’re going to do great!
