Women’s Circle Reflection: What is Feminism? 💜

Hello everyone!

A huge thank you to all who joined us for last Saturday’s Women’s Circle on the topic What is Feminism? It was an enriching and thoughtful discussion where we explored personal understandings of feminism, its impact on our lives, and tackled some misconceptions.

We began by defining feminism, which, according to Oxford Languages, is "the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes."  Feminism is a range of socio-political movements and ideologies that aim to define and establish the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes.

Many of you shared how your understanding of feminism has evolved over time. It was truly inspiring to hear how feminism has shaped your perspectives—whether it has influenced how you see yourself, others, or the world.

One of the most important parts of our conversation was exploring how we can incorporate feminist values into our daily lives. Whether it’s by supporting women in our communities, online or offline, or by taking action to uplift others, we shared many ways we can actively promote equality and support fellow women in everyday actions.

Some of you mentioned being disappointed about missing the session, but don’t worry, we’ll be revisiting this topic again soon! In the meantime, feel free to share your thoughts, reflections, and any follow-up questions in the comments below. Your voice is always welcome, and this space is open for continued discussion.

Looking ahead, this Saturday, March 22nd, our Women’s Circle will focus on Self-Care. We’ll explore what authentic self-care looks like, how to prioritize our well-being, and discuss ways to make self-care a regular practice in our lives.
