@GoodTrouble19
Hi there, I heard that spearmint tea is good and chia seeds currently learning about it not sure
what other tips except those and daily exercise it's a struggle with this pcos wish you the best of luck
Hi @GoodTrouble19! I've been dealing with PCOS for more than 10 years. For most of that time, I was told to exercise and lose weight, which I did, but I did not see any improvement. Something that I discovered recently was:
I grew up with a largely rice-based diet. A couple of years ago, I began including more veggies and pulses in my meals. Now I try to maintain the following ratio: 30% carbs, 30% veggies, and 30% protein (still a struggle sometimes). I even have a protein shake if I'm unable to include any protein sources in food. This has done wonders in terms of having periods without medication.
PCOS--its symptoms and interventions--are diverse, and so this might not work for everyone. But I think it's worth giving it a try.

Hi if you don't mind me asking did your periods come back??
I haven't had for a year now 😓
Hey @Samuriheart!
Yes, my periods did return in 2023. It was after 10 years of not having periods without medication. I had tried only working out and losing weight a few times in those 10 years. But in 2023, I think I started getting periods again because of a combination of working out (I did home workouts) and maintaining the diet I mentioned.
Even now, if I don't eat properly or skip proteins, I don't get my periods. Sometimes, when it's too stressful (and expensive) to maintain that diet, I drink a protein shake every day.
Another thing that helps is an intense workout session (maybe like a hike). I have not been able to exercise regularly. But something intense, like a hike, when it is time for me to get periods helps kickstart things.
Hope this helps.
