Hi there,

For those of you trying to conceive, currently pregnant or have a little one at home, how are you managing? What are some tips that you can share with us today?

For me, I am a mother of 4 children and they are incredible humans! Each day is different and I guess my best tip is to try and prepare as much as possible. Whether that is getting food or clothing ready the day before or bulk cooking. Just little things to take the time out of your day. Did you know it is estimated that mothers have a 98 hour working week! I am sure it is much more :)

Please feel free to post if you are a mum, dad, caregiver or anyone else that has any tips to share that they have learned. All are welcome!

My main tip is leave the hoovering for later! and Sleep when they sleep! I know how hard it can be for a house proud mum but it is really important for mum's to get rest when they can and be as rested as possible so that they can then cope with caring for the energetic tinies!

Try and keep your friends too, it is far to easy to miss parties and outings with out friends because we are too tired but it is important to have some adult talk too, or we will miss it later.

Love this tip! I hoovered this morning only because my dog has been making lots of mess but it's actually quite pointless or it is something you continue to keep doing. I'll remember that one :) So true and one day the house will be as clean as we want it to be. I love the idea about socialising too. Keep sharing!

Thanks Lisa! I think another one is to say 'Yes please!' to any help offered. I was terrible, I hated accepting help, I didn't really know how to accept, especially from other mum's that were new friends that seemed to be coping so well with their second baby let alone their first!

Also it was bad enough stopping the mother in law from taking over lol, but then it was all down to me. So, try hard to accept help, or at least figure out priorities,

1) What I want to be done

2) What actually needs to be done

3) What must be done!

Then work out how to be happy with things :)

@CocoaCassie

Such amazing tips. I really think these are wonderful and so so important. Me too! I also struggle accepting help and then I think people stopped asking but now I accept it all. I hope you're able to accept it too as it's so important as a parent, as you know.
