Trying to Conceive and Mental Health

Hello everyone 💕 I wanted to start a conversation about how trying to conceive can affect our mental health.

No one really prepares you for how emotional this journey can be. The hope, the waiting, the disappointment, and the pressure from ourselves, our bodies, and sometimes from others can all feel overwhelming. Each month can feel like a rollercoaster.

If you are in this season, please know that you are not alone. It is completely normal to feel anxious, frustrated, jealous, or even numb. You can be deeply grateful for your life and still long for something more. Both feelings can exist at the same time.

🌱 A few gentle reminders:

  • You are not defined by how or when pregnancy happens.

  • Rest and self-care are not giving up; they are necessary.

  • It is perfectly fine to take breaks from tracking, apps, or conversations that trigger you.

  • You deserve support, whether from a partner, friends, or a therapist who understands fertility struggles.

If you feel comfortable, please share how you are coping, what helps you stay grounded, or what you wish more people understood about trying to conceive and mental health. Let’s support each other through this.

You are most welcome Amanda! I think it’s such an important topic too and can often become an invisible problem for those who go through it. 💕
