Finding Strength After Trauma
Hi everyone, I wanted to open up a conversation about healing and coping after sexual assault. It can feel incredibly isolating, and sometimes even sharing small experiences or thoughts can make a difference.
What are some ways you’ve found to reclaim your sense of safety, confidence, or control over your life? Even small steps or routines that help you feel grounded or empowered can be powerful.
I’d love to hear your stories, tips, or even just words of encouragement for others going through similar experiences.

I can relate a little from my own experience. As a sex worker, I’ve had moments where I felt unsafe or taken advantage of, and it was scary at the time. What helped me most was learning how to set clear boundaries and find people I could trust to talk to about it. It hasn’t been easy, but even small steps toward reclaiming control over my own safety and choices have made a huge difference.
I hope anyone reading this knows that it’s okay to take things at your own pace and that reaching out for support is a strong and important step
