Sharing your depressive thoughts and feelings may be scary and overwhelming, so I am very happy that you have taken the brave first step of reaching out for help.  Seeking support can give you the chance to move past such feelings as hopelessness, helplessness, loneliness, guilt and/or inadequacy which all may be a part of feeling depressed.  I have worked alongside many other individuals who had felt low, stuck and unmotivated to support them in feeling better about themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives.  You can start to feel better too by working with me to identify and understand the thoughts, feelings and experiences which contribute to your depression and low self-esteem.  Together, we can work on figuring out what would make your life more meaningful according to your needs and values. I can also help you learn and acquire the necessary skills to make the changes that you want at your own pace.

Use the search box at the top of this page to narrow down to your city or zip code, then choose the kind of support you need - therapists, treatment centers, housing assistance, food pantries or faith-based services. Every listing links through to contact details and directions.

It varies by listing. Food pantries, many housing programs and faith-based services are typically free, while therapists and treatment centers usually charge or bill insurance. Check the individual listing and contact the provider directly to confirm.

No. The providers and organizations listed here are independent of 7 Cups - we do not employ them and cannot vouch for them. What 7 Cups does offer directly is free emotional support from trained volunteer listeners, and online therapy with licensed professionals.

If you are in immediate danger, call 988 in the US or go to your nearest emergency room. For someone to talk to straight away, you can chat with a trained volunteer listener at any hour, free.
