The Arkansas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) serves the Walnut Ridge community by providing essential food assistance to eligible households, helping them manage their food budgets during challenging times. Through financial benefits delivered via an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, SNAP supports families in purchasing nutritious food items, including seeds and plants that can cultivate homegrown produce. Beyond food assistance, SNAP is committed to enhancing the well-being of participants by offering nutrition education, job training, and work experience opportunities. Our goal is to empower individuals and families with the resources they need to thrive. Individuals can easily apply for SNAP online through Access Arkansas or by submitting a completed application to their local Department of Human Services office.
