Located in downtown Flagstaff just off Route 66, The Guidance Center offers comprehensive behavioral health and substance use treatment services for individuals ages six and older. The center maintains specialized treatment teams for children and adolescents (6-18) and adults, providing evidence-based care including individual and group counseling, skill development, medication management, and care coordination. They also offer valuable caregiver training to support clients' recovery networks and partner with The Genoa Clinic for medication services. For those in crisis, The Guidance Center operates a 24/7 hotline and maintains a dedicated crisis stabilization unit. Their 16-bed inpatient facility provides detoxification, stabilization, and intensive psychiatric services. The center accommodates regular appointments within days and accepts a limited number of walk-in clients weekday mornings. Therapeutic groups form a cornerstone of their treatment approach, with adult options including meditation, creative arts, physical fitness, life skills training, and dialectical behavior therapy. Youth programming features vocational rehabilitation, family support, special interest groups like anime and hiking, and dialectical behavior therapy. The Guidance Center strengthened its regional impact by becoming a subsidiary of The Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority (NARBHA) Institute, which serves multiple counties throughout Northern Arizona including Apache, Coconino, Mohave, Navajo, Yavapai, and Gila.
