The Literacy in Pre-school (FLIP) Program in Bonita Springs, FL, is dedicated to empowering pre-school children with essential food literacy skills. Through engaging lessons led by volunteers, children discover the origins of food, the importance of healthy choices, and how to incorporate fresh produce into nutritious snacks. Each lesson highlights a specific piece of produce, providing children with hands-on experience and recipes to try at home. Families are integral to our mission, as we hold periodic meetings to expand learning opportunities and foster positive outcomes for everyone involved. Together, we cultivate a foundation for healthy eating habits that lasts a lifetime.
