Healthy Start Coalition in Ocala, FL is dedicated to enhancing the health and developmental outcomes of infants and young children by addressing critical factors that contribute to infant mortality and low birth weight. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support services tailored for pregnant women, infants, and children up to age three. Through essential offerings such as outreach, care coordination, childbirth and parenting education, nutrition counseling, and psychosocial support, we strive to empower families and ensure they receive the services they need. We also provide important resources for tobacco education and cessation, breastfeeding support, and home visits. Open to all pregnant women facing high-risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes, regardless of marital, economic, or immigration status, our program welcomes participants to take proactive steps towards a healthier future. To get started, expectant mothers are encouraged to visit their OB/GYN for screening to access Healthy Start services.
