The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Okeechobee, FL, empowers individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Offering comprehensive organic food system education, the Fellowship prioritizes accessibility by eliminating tuition fees, allowing more individuals to engage in this transformative program. Throughout a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain hands-on skills in growing and distributing diversified crops, creating vibrant community gardens, and fostering food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Following this, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profit organizations to implement health-focused initiatives, support farmers markets, and enhance access to nutritious food. With a commitment to social, environmental, and economic equity, we welcome those ready to make a meaningful impact in their communities and advance food justice.
