At the Healthy Start Coalition of Jefferson, Madison, and Taylor, located in Okeechobee, FL, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and developmental outcomes of pregnant women, infants, and children up to three years old. Our mission is to significantly reduce infant mortality and the prevalence of low birth weight babies through comprehensive support services tailored to address specific risks. We offer a range of essential services including outreach, care coordination, childbirth education, parenting guidance, nutrition counseling, psychosocial support, tobacco cessation education, breastfeeding assistance, and home visiting. Our program is inclusive, welcoming all pregnant women regardless of marital, economic, or immigration status who are at high risk for poor pregnancy outcomes, including postpartum women and their infants within the first three years of life.
