Healthy Start Coalition in Tallahassee, FL is dedicated to improving the health and developmental outcomes for expecting mothers, infants, and young children by proactively addressing the risks associated with pregnancy and early childhood. Our mission is to reduce infant mortality and the occurrence of low birth weight babies through comprehensive and targeted support services. We offer essential resources such as outreach, care coordination, childbirth and parenting education, nutrition counseling, psychosocial support, tobacco education and cessation, breastfeeding education, and home visiting services. Our program welcomes all pregnant women, regardless of marital, economic, or immigration status, who are identified as high risk for poor pregnancy outcomes, including postpartum women and their infants up to age three.
