MOVE! Weight Management Program, based in Acworth, GA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to screen every Veteran at VA facilities for obesity each year and connect them with tailored weight management services that align with their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of care options, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which provides in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we offer weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who need more intensive intervention after trying our program. To participate in MOVE!, Veterans are encouraged to speak with their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to begin their journey toward healthier living.
