About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Based in Albany, GA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program provides comprehensive training in organic food systems, empowering Fellows to become educators and leaders within their communities. Participants in our six-month experiential fellowship at Allegheny Farm learn to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education initiatives, and develop school and community gardens. Additionally, they focus on integrating food and ecological literacy into educational activities, supporting local farmers markets, and enhancing access to healthy food through strategic distribution channels. With a commitment to accessibility, we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all aspiring Fellows can pursue their passion for food justice. Applications are accepted annually through March, with the fellowship running from May to October. Join us in fostering a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity.
