The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Americus, GA empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through an engaging six-month experiential program, participants receive comprehensive training in organic food systems, focusing on social, environmental, and economic equity. Fellows work alongside community partners to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, promote food literacy in schools, and enhance access to healthy foods through markets and community gardens. This hands-on experience culminates in a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits, driving meaningful change in local communities. By eliminating tuition fees, we ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to all aspiring food justice leaders. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship experience spanning from May to October.
