About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program in Augusta, GA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children up to age five. Our program supports families at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level by providing essential food assistance and resources. Participants receive special checks to purchase nutritious foods, comprehensive nutrition assessments, health screenings, breastfeeding support, and referrals to additional health and social services. To see if you qualify for WIC, we encourage you to participate in the WIC Eligibility Assessment available online, and then contact your local office to make an appointment and learn about the necessary documentation. Together, we strive to ensure that women and children in our community receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
