About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Based in Bainbridge, GA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship provides comprehensive training and support for passionate individuals committed to improving our food systems. This six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus focuses on social, environmental, and economic justice within food production. Fellows receive organic food system education at no charge, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout their journey, participants engage in hands-on activities, such as growing and distributing crops, creating educational initiatives in health care, maintaining community gardens, and fostering food literacy in schools. They also collaborate with local farmers' markets and develop sustainable distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Following their time on the farm, Fellows apply their knowledge during a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to drive impactful change.
