About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Carrollton, GA, empowers individuals to become passionate advocates and educators for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a dynamic program that features organic food system education, selected Fellows engage in hands-on experiences for six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profits to implement impactful initiatives. This transformative fellowship, which does not charge tuition to enhance accessibility, offers opportunities for participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, mentor emerging leaders, support local farmers markets, and integrate food and ecological literacy into education. By applying their skills in community gardens and health-focused workshops, our Fellows contribute to innovative solutions for enhancing food access and fostering vibrant local food systems.
