The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Cordele, GA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators focused on creating an equitable food system that is sustainable for our communities and our planet. This transformative program offers hands-on training and empowerment to fellows, equipping them to implement innovative solutions in local food systems. Participants engage in comprehensive organic food system education, work alongside partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, and develop vital community initiatives such as school gardens, health education sessions, and farmers markets. Through a unique six-month experience at Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year collaborating with local non-profits, fellows gain the skills and knowledge needed to impact food access and ecological literacy. Applications are accepted until March for the fellowship that runs from May to October, promoting accessibility without tuition fees.
