About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Cumming, GA is dedicated to cultivating advocates for a sustainable and equitable food system through hands-on training and education. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship offers a transformative six-month experiential program where selected Fellows learn about organic food systems and engage with diverse community initiatives. They will collaborate with local partners to grow and distribute crops, implement innovative health care education, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in schools. The fellowship not only supports sustainable farming practices but also empowers Fellows to develop distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods and support community food coalitions. With no tuition fees, we strive to make this valuable experience accessible to all, and those interested are encouraged to apply by March for the upcoming cycle, which runs from May through October.
