Backpack Buddies in Dahlonega, GA, is dedicated to alleviating weekend food insecurity for local families by providing essential food assistance through our weekend backpack program. Each backpack is filled with nutritious food items to help children and their families bridge the gap when schools are closed. We understand the urgency of providing reliable food resources, and our program allows families to receive support for up to two years. In addition to food delivery, we invite parents to participate in our supportive parent group meetings every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Student Outreach Center at LCMS, where they can connect with others and pick up food early. Together, we are committed to ensuring that no child goes hungry, particularly during the critical weekend periods.
