The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dalton, GA, is dedicated to nurturing passionate advocates for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training and mentorship, our program empowers Fellows to lead with purpose in diverse areas like organic food system education and community engagement. We offer an experience free from tuition, reinforcing our commitment to accessibility for all participants. Throughout their six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain hands-on experience by growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining gardens, and enhancing food literacy in school curriculums. In addition, they foster local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, streamline access to nutritious foods, support community coalitions, and guide the next generation of leaders in food systems. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October.
