About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program in Decatur, GA is dedicated to providing essential nutritional support for pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to age five who are at risk for nutritional deficiencies. This federally-funded program serves families with incomes at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level or those enrolled in Medicaid. WIC offers a range of services including nutrition assessments, health screenings, breastfeeding support, and vouchers for purchasing healthy foods from authorized vendors. Our mission is to ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community receive the nourishment they need to thrive. To learn about eligibility, families can complete a preliminary assessment on Georgia’s WIC website; however, the local WIC office can provide a definitive determination and assist with the application process. Your health and the health of your children are our top priorities, and we invite you to reach out for the assistance you may need.
