The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dublin, GA, is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for and educate about a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our tuition-free program, Fellows receive hands-on training at our picturesque Allegheny Farm, learning about organic food systems and engaging with the community in meaningful ways. Participants collaborate with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative educational programs in health care, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in local schools. By supporting farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, we increase access to healthy food while fostering community food coalitions. Over a six-month immersive experience, selected Fellows gain invaluable skills and knowledge, which they apply during their Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to make a tangible impact. To join this transformative journey, prospective Fellows should apply by March of the year they wish to start, with the program typically running from May to October.
