About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ellijay, GA, dedicated to empowering the next generation of food advocates and educators, offers a unique opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in a transformative six-month program. At our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic food systems, focusing on creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. We believe in making this education accessible, which is why we do not charge tuition. Our Fellows engage in hands-on learning, grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health education initiatives, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and developing distribution channels for healthy foods while collaborating with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with experiences typically running from May to October.
