About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Flowery Branch, GA, we empower passionate individuals to become advocates and educators for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Our program provides comprehensive training without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all applicants. Throughout a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, our Fellows engage in organic food system education, work on market-style farms to grow and distribute diverse crops, and implement innovative health care educational sessions. They also maintain school and community gardens, integrate food and ecological literacy into school initiatives, support farmers markets, and develop vital distribution channels to increase access to healthy food. Following their hands-on training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and make a tangible difference in their communities. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the Fellowship taking place from May to October.
