Ninth District Opportunity's Community Services Department is dedicated to alleviating poverty in Gainesville, GA, by empowering low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency. Our comprehensive approach begins with evaluating each participant to identify barriers and create tailored action plans that address their unique needs. We provide essential services including crisis rent and utility assistance, emergency food assistance, and vital counseling in family development, income management, and employment. Our support extends to work experience placement, SSI advocacy through SOAR certification, education counseling and referral services, transportation assistance, and help with SNAP applications. We are committed to fostering resilience and enhancing the quality of life for those in need within our North Georgia communities.
