About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Griffin, GA, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of food advocates and educators committed to creating a fair, sustainable, and productive food system. We offer a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in a six-month immersive program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain hands-on experience in organic food system education, and develop skills that empower them to lead community initiatives. Our Fellows actively participate in diverse projects such as growing and distributing crops, maintaining school and community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational settings. Our commitment to accessibility is reflected in our no-tuition policy, ensuring that anyone passionate about food justice can join our mission. The Fellowship experience culminates in a Community Action Year, where Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their skills and advocate for increased access to nutritious food. Applications are welcomed each year until March, with the fellowship running from May to October, fostering a network of like-minded individuals striving for an equitable food future.
