Located in Jasper, GA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, powered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is dedicated to training and empowering a new generation of advocates who champion a just and sustainable food system. Our Fellowship is committed to social, environmental, and economic equity in agriculture, offering comprehensive organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Participants engage in hands-on experiences, growing diversified crops on a market-style farm, implementing innovative health education programs, and fostering ecological literacy through school and community gardens. They will support local farmers markets, mentor future cohorts, and collaborate with nonprofit organizations in their Community Action Year. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship running from May to October, providing an immersive opportunity for those passionate about building healthier, equitable food systems in their communities.
