The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jefferson, GA is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators in sustainable food systems. By sponsoring and training Fellows, we aim to empower individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education that equips participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational health initiatives, and maintain community gardens. Throughout a transformative six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage deeply in food and ecological literacy, support farmers markets, and develop essential distribution channels for healthier foods. After their training, they enter a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profits to apply their skills, further enhancing food access and community support. We do not charge tuition, ensuring this essential educational experience remains accessible for all. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
