The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jesup, GA, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. This transformative program offers free, hands-on training to Fellows who aspire to become advocates for a food system that embodies social, environmental, and economic justice. Participants engage in a six-month experiential, residential study at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn about organic food production, contribute to community gardens, and implement educational initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. After their intensive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to deepen their impact through innovative health care education, diversified crop distribution, and support for local farmers markets.
