About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Locust Grove, GA, invites passionate individuals to transform their understanding of food systems into meaningful action. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive training in organic food system education, focusing on social, environmental, and economic justice. Without any tuition costs, we prioritize accessibility to enable diverse participants to delve into hands-on learning experiences. Throughout their six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain practical knowledge in diversifying crop production, engaging in community gardening, and facilitating educational sessions on health and nutrition. As advocates for sustainable practices, they also support local farmers markets and develop broader distribution channels for healthy food access. Following this immersive experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills and uplift the community. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the program running from May through October.
