In Mableton, GA, the Diabetes Association of Atlanta (DAA) is dedicated to empowering individuals managing diabetes through our Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) classes. Recognized by the American Diabetes Association, our evidence-based program equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively control their condition. Covering the critical components of the AADE 7 Self-Care Behaviors—healthy eating, physical activity, monitoring, medication management, problem solving, healthy coping, and risk reduction—our classes are designed to foster independence and well-being. Currently, we are pleased to offer these comprehensive education sessions online at no cost, ensuring accessibility for all in our community.
